On Sunday, May 2, from 6:30-9 PM, Lexington's Cary Memorial Library Foundation will sponsor the second Cary Library Art Sale and Soirée (CLASS 2) — an evening of art, music, and community at 1874 Massachusetts Avenue. The event, which will take place on the top two floors of the library, will feature music and works of art for sale by 35 invited artists. It's a great opportunity to buy art and to mingle with art lovers, friends, and members of the community.

Visual artists experience the world more intensely than most people and their vision can expand our knowledge and enjoyment of everything around us. Because CLASS 2 profiles both well-known and emerging artists, pieces will be available to suit many budgets.

Silent Auction

The evening also includes a silent auction of more than 30 pieces of art including watercolors, jewelry, collage, sculptures in bronze and in clay, monotypes, boxes, quilts, hand-painted silk scarves, and stained glass. All proceeds from the event will benefit the library and its collections.

The silent auction can be previewed in the Walter Pierce Gallery of the Cary Memorial Library starting April 5 up to the day of the sale. The pieces can also be displayed online by visiting this link.
